Q. I am a busy mom with little time to cook. How will your software help me?
A. The Dinner Solution was created by two busy moms, and it was created with other busy moms in mind. We know that “cooking for your family” doesn’t just mean “cooking.”Itmeans: menu planning, grocery shopping, THEN cooking.We take the headache and time out of the first two steps so you can put the precious little time you have into the cooking part.You can plan a week’s or more worth of meals in literally just a few minutes at your desk.You can print a comprehensive shopping list and be out the door to the grocery store in less than 15 minutes combined.
Plus, our program is the only one that allows you to plan for both traditional meals and freezer/OAMC meals. So if you choose, you can easily have your freezer stocked with dishes that are assembled and ready to thaw and cook, saving you so much time.
In addition, you can plan leftovers or take-out into your weekly menu. No other program gives you this much control over your planning.
Q. I already plan out my weekly meals on paper, and then make my own grocery lists by hand. Why do I need your software?
A. The Dinner Solution will make your meal planning so much easier and save you a lot of time. Imagine taking just minutes to plan out your meals on our calendar, and then at the click of a button you can print your complete grocery list. If you make changes to your meal plan on the calendar, it's easy to print an updated grocery list.
Our grocery lists are designed to be ultra efficient. Not only are they organized by Store Aisle, they are also organized by Store Name! So if you buy groceries at two different stores (ie a regular grocery store and a club warehouse store), our grocery list will tell you which items to buy at which store! So much faster than doing it all by hand. With all the time you will be saving, you can spend more time with your kids or doing something crazy like relaxing.
Q. I already receive weekly menus and shopping lists from an online menu planning service. So I don't need your software, right?
A. You definitely still need The Dinner Solution! While a menu planning service is a step in the right direction, it's still doesn't totally solve your dinner problem.
Menu planning services are not personalized for you. The meals on their list do not take into account your family's likes and dislikes. They also don't consider your schedule that week. If you want to customize that week's menu, you have to manually change their pre-planned grocery list in order for the grocery list to still be usable, which can be very time-consuming.
With The Dinner Solution, each time you receive your weekly list from the menu planning service, you can enter those menus into our software and then schedule them into our meal planning calendar. This way you can easily change one or more of the meals and still print an accurate grocery list.
You can also then easily re-use past recipes from the menu planning service because you can pull up that saved menu with the click of a button. So if there's a meal on this week's list that your family would not like, you can replace it with one of your own meals or with a past meal from the menu planning service that your family did like.
The bottom line is that you now have control over what you serve to your family, and when you serve it.
Q. I am interested in doing freezer cooking, but I don't have a big freezer.
A
. That's okay! By using ziploc bags to store most of the pre-prepared meals, you can fit more meals than you would expect in your freezer because the bags will lay flat. Some dishes do require a baking pan, but the majority of them can be frozen in a ziploc bag. If later you find that you want to start making more meals at a time, then you can choose to invest in a stand-alone freezer that will store your make-ahead meals.
Q. I regularly purchase pre-assembled freezer meals from one of those "meal assembly centers", so why would I still need your software?
A. Because in order to fully benefit from those pre-assembled freezer meals, you still need the ability to plan out when you will serve those meals and to plan which side dishes you will serve with them. Also, most people who frequent the meal assembly centers don't use those freezer meals every night of the week. Our software will allow you to plan out your entire week of meals, including your pre-purchased freezer meals, fresh meals, leftovers, takeout, etc. Our software is a complete solution.
Q. I am intrigued by the idea of freezer cooking and would like to try it, but I do still want to prepare some meals the traditional way. Can I do this with your system?
A. Yes! The Dinner Solution is the ONLY system that was designed to accommodate both traditional cooking and freezer cooking at the same time. As you are planning your menus, you will mark the meals that you want to make-ahead and freeze. Our system will treat those meals differently than the traditional meals. Q. I am not interested in making freezer meals, I just want to get organized and be able to cook dinner every night. Will your system still be helpful to me?
A. Absolutely! The freezer meal features are included in our Premium version, but if you choose to not do freezer meals, The Dinner Solution Basic version will still change your life. Q. What is the difference between your Basic and Premium versions?
A. The Premium version includes the option to plan for freezer meals. It allows you to designate which meals you plan to "make-ahead". It also provides extra reports and lists that the Basic version does not include, such as a separate grocery list for your freezer meal assembly session, assembly instructions, freezer labels, and freezer inventory list.
If you are not interested in doing freezer cooking, our Basic version is all that you need.
If you do want to organize your own freezer meals, then you will need the Premium version.
